What type of vehicles do you have?
Our safari vehicles are traditional safari Toyota Land Cruisers.  The removable roof allows you to stand up and take photos and enjoy the serenity and wildlife of Africa.  They are fitted with radio's therefore allowing the driver to communicate with other vehicles and therefore giving you the best opportunity to find animals.  The vehicles are extremely comfortable.
 
What type of tents do you have for the camping safaris?
Our tents are hand made canvas tents.  These are much better quality than your average camping tent and provide good protection from rain and wind.  Many of our tents have been imported from overseas.
 
What is included in the safari price?
Camping safaris : Park entry fees, transport, all games drives, camping fees, driver/guide, cook, all food, drinking water and camping equipment (including sleeping bags if you don't have your own)
Lodge safaris : Park entry fees, transport, all game drives, lodge accommodation, driver/guide, all food and drinking water.
 
What is included in the Kilimanjaro price?
Your Kilimanjaro price includes park entry fees, camping fees, rescue fees, transport to/from the park entry gate, head guide, assistant guides, cook, porters and tents.  All of our guides, cooks and porters are paid a proper salary in accordance to the Porters Association requirements.
 
Are there any additional costs for safari?
Only tipping to your driver/guide and if it is a camping safari tipping to your cook.  The recommended is tsh10,000 (approx USD$7) per person per day to the driver/guide and tsh5,000 (approx USD$3.50) per person per day to the cook.  This is based on a full vehicle of 4 or 5 people.  If you are less than this please allow a little extra.
 
Are there any additional costs for Kilimanjaro climbs?
Additional costs include tipping to your guides, porters & cooks and hiring of clothing equipment if you do not have everything.  The recommended tipping is USD$20 per day to the head guide, USD$15 per day per assistant guide, USD$15 per day to the cook, USD$10 per day per porter.  This is split between everyone climbing.  
Upon booking we provide an equipment hire list.  This covers things like clothing, walking poles, sleeping bags etc.  This list includes hiring prices therefore anything you choose not to bring from home can be hired once you arrive.
 
What are the meals like on a camping safari?
Meals are extremely good on the camping safaris.  We cater for any meal requirements and you will enjoy cooked breakfasts/dinner and lunch boxes for during the day.
 
What should I bring on safari?
We suggest you bring :
• Comfortable light clothes for during the day and some warm clothes for early morning game drives (especially in
   the Ngorongoro Crater).
• Binoculars
• Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses & mosquito repellent
• Camera with extra battery 
 
Where do you pick up from for safari?
We organise pick-up and drop-off in Moshi, Arusha, Kilimanjaro airport, Arusha airport or any other locations within this area.
 
Is a visa required for entry into Tanzania?
Yes, most nationalities require a visa to enter Tanzania.  Often this can be done at the airport/border crossing upon arrival however please confirm with the Tanzanian consulate in your country.
